Assetto Corsa - Your Racing Simulator... FOR MODS!

Now, I realize not everyone is into mods. I'm on the fence, personally. I love well made mods, but I hate how hard they made it joining multiplayer games in RACE 07, GTR2 and similar titles. Because of this, (and the fact that Project CARS has a ton of developer made content) I am fine with the fact that Project CARS will not officially support mods. Assetto Corsa, on the other hand, not only supports mods, but embraces them. And I'm happy with that too! I haven't really gotten into multiplayer in AC, and don't plan on it, so I don't care if mods make joining multiplayer games harder. (Though I'm not sure if it even makes a difference anyway, maybe it doesn't.)

Assetto Corsa has gotten much better with the physics of all the developer cars since it was officially released. For this post, I'm going to list some video's from some of my favorite AC mods. The links to those mods is in the video description of all the video's, so if you really like the mod, open the video in YouTube and you will have access to all the links you need!

427 Shelby Cobra
This car is now on the official car list of Assetto Corsa, but at the time of this video it was one of the best mods available for the game!

Corvette C6R at Golf Course
This car has been updated since this video, but it was already looking great.

Reliant Robin
This car is crazy! Very hard to drive, but fun, in a stupid silly way.

1981 Datsun 720 KC Drift
A fun little pickup truck for those of you who like driving them.

VAZ-2106 at '75 Nordschleife
The VAZ is another silly fun car, at a classic track.

Broadspeed Jaguar XJ12C at Junealillo Hill Climb
The Jag is amazing, as far as big cars are concerned, and the Junealillo Hill Climb is a very fun, technical course.

'92 Honda NSX-R at Glava Zete Hill Climb
The NSX-R is a fantastically balanced car, and Glava Zete is one of the nicest looking mod tracks in the game.

Tesla S P85+
A little bit of a weird car, needs some sound added to it, but interesting to drive, if electric cars are your thing.

Lake Louise
Another one of the truly great mods available for Assetto Corsa! The next version will offer many alternative route's, but the current route is amazing on its own.

'90 Honda NSX at Transfagarasan North
The standard NSX is another excellent handling car, but this track is probably the most epic mod for the game.

Lamborghini Miura
Like the Shelby Cobra before it, this mod will be coming to the official car list soon! They did an excellent job on it, and it is sure to get better once it is officially added to the game.

Herbie at Green Coast Circuit
Yes, even Herbie has made its way into the game! Green Coast Circuit is a great drift track (though that's not really my thing) it's fun to drive otherwise as well, though the foliage is not abundant.

Luccaring (Circuito de' Baluardi)
This track was modeled after the creators home town, and it's a great job! The circuit is fictional, but the roads are all based on real roads.

'99 Mini Rover at Glava Zete Hill Climb
The Mini Rover is by far my favorite FWD car in the game! It's slow as heck, but a lot of fun anyway, at least on a technical track.
